Jim "Doc" Price
My name is Jim Price and I've been the Athletic Trainer at Travis since September 1989. I've been married to my wonderful wife Jean since 2006 and have many interests including sports, reading, and history.
I attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where I worked as a student trainer (Football, Swimming and Diving) and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree with an emphasis in Athletic Training, graduating in 1989. Later in 1989, I earned my State of Texas Athletic Training License and I was hired as the first full time staff Athletic Trainer in the history of Travis High School. I've worked as a professional Athletic Trainer at a lot of different levels, but I’m mostly proud of the work I've done here at Travis. There have been many student athletes come through our program and I’m proud to have contributed to any success they’ve had, on or off the field. My primary goal is to help our student athletes with any sports related injuries through rehabilitation and education.
I enjoy all the sports that our students compete in and my #1 priority is to help our students to be successful.
